The Native Academy (NAC) goal is to improve academic outcomes for American Indian youth. In order to reach this goal, the Native Academy implements programming elements after school, on student release days and during the summer that will boost academic success in rigorous coursework with a future inclusive of postsecondary education that will lead to living wage careers.
Activities will fall into one of three areas:
- Academic support for on-time graduation through skill building and credit recovery;
- Postsecondary preparation focusing on financial readiness, college exploration and acceptance; and
- Summer workplace skill development through internships.
